Roman Blinds Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain :- Attaching Roman Blinds to Your Windows !

Roman blinds have long been a favourite amongst savvy homeowners because they provide an inexpensive, classy and sophisticated solution to sprucing up windows. To be honest, there really is no need to spend a fortune on curtains, other than maybe a nice valance. However, when you think about it, the window treatment industry is a billion dollar a year business and each blind costs a pretty penny. The other problem with curtains and drapes is that they can take a while to put in and you always have to keep track of the length of the cords. Roman Blinds, on the other hand, are easy to fit, especially with their ever-handy do-it-yourself strap.

Made of three different fabrics -

Roman blinds are usually made of three different fabrics - horizontal, vertical and Venetian. The horizontal fabric is woven closely to the wood frames and is available in plain white or black. As for the verticals, these are often woven from materials such as linen, which tends to be very lightweight, but very durable and able to withstand a lot. And then we have the Venetian variety, which is made of heavy, rough fabrics and can block out less light than the other two fabrics.

So how do you fit Roman blinds dubai? Like most things in life, it's easier to do if you measure twice and cut once. First of all measure the width and height of your splayed bay window - measure from the top of the splayed bay window to the bottom. The height must be measured taking into account any surrounding fixtures like cupboards and shelves.

Length of the blind fabric

Now measure the length of the blind fabric on the inside of the splayed bay window - take note of this measurement, as we'll need this later when we come to attach the blinds. Once you've got all your measurements ready, you're ready to start. To attach the Roman Blinds abu dhabi, first get a pair of scissors that have been cut in the right shape so that you can cut them easily and hold them in place without them curling up or folding into each other.

Get heavier fabrics such as sheer or velour :

Put the Roman blinds on the windows first, and then hang the string that hangs from them onto the outside edge of the windowsill. You want to make sure that the strings are all facing inside out, and face the correct direction - that way the strings will actually pull the blinds up and down instead of pushing the blinds against the windows. If you have enough pure silk, you may even want to use pure silk ties on the cord that holds the strings to ensure they lie flat and are not rubbing against each other. Hang the strings and let them dangle. If they don't hang straight, put a bit of sheer lining between the strings to hold them taut.

Now it's time to attach the fabric to the wall space. If the wall space is large, you'll probably want to use the heavier fabrics such as sheer or velour. For a small space, you can either use thinner materials, or even tights or pantyhose. You can't just hang Wooden Roman Blinds either side of the opening, you also have to add a way for the light to shine through. One great way to do this is by adding a small decorative item like a gold or silver tray with a hole in the middle.
